Where am I?

These months have been ones of passage, strange and terrible and at times wonderful in the moments. One month aga today my mom died, I write the word and the thoughts come swirling inward, I feel frozen in how to write what her leaving us means.

The fabric of our lives are so interwoven, with the ones we love, that when they go we are left with a thousand reminders every day of the relaity of the love and life they shared with us.

I miss her so much, I feel like a year has passed and it is only one short month. I miss her smell, her touch, her phone calls and her particular brand of humor, but everytime I embrace life smile and celebrate her push into living her memory is honored.

When someone who loves God and lives for him dies, our comfort is that we will be with them again and that she is home safe, secure in the arms of her Saviour.

Birthdays

Tomorrow is our sons 31st birthday, when I ask you did that happen! it seems like such a short time ago that he was a brand new baby boy just home from the hospital.

Things I have learned, that strong willed little boys make wonderful grown up sons.
That being creative is such a gift.
That I am extermely blessed.
That have more than 10 people to a birthday party is to many people for two little house.
That time goes much to quickly.

I just got back from the movies with my favourite date, we have been together for more than a few years and I never get tired of being with him. It seems like the longer we are together the more I never want to be without him.
Back to the movie... Ironman, it was pretty good, typical super hero and no doubt a sequel is in the works. It is the perfect super hero movie, and on the way home every guy in a car drove like he believed that he was the real iron man. We all want a hero, or want to be one.
I am so glad I have my own hero!

My First Blog

History in the making, my first blog ever, and now that I have the site I don't know what to write! Thanks to Heather and Kyle who made my first page and got me up and running.

Anyone who knows me will know that I will have plenty to say in the next bit, so keep checking in.
